Our Fundraising Progress

First Stretch Goal (September)

WE'VE REACHED A STRETCH GOAL! After been off campus fundraising for the past two years, I thought it important to be back on campus for the opening of our new Freedom Cafe this fall. We reached this stretch goal by stretching the goal posts a bit. When starting our fundraising campaign, it was our hope that Beth could step down from working full time, and could renew her credentials, and work with me in ministry. We have decided to put that on hold in the short term to give me the opportunity to return and relaunch Freedom Cafe this Fall, and finish my fundraising momentum through 2017!

frequently asked questions

1Why do you "need" Faith Promises?
The organization that collects, receipts and is accountable to your donations also sets by budget and disperses to me the income it collects on a monthly basis.
Before they allow me to begin my full time work on campus, they require that I have a support base of financial partners committed to helping me accomplish my work. Their way of knowing of your commitment is by having you declare your giving as a faith promise, indicating that your gift is part of your faith promise either monthly or yearly.
2Is my donation tax deductible
As long as your gift is given through AGUSM it is considered tax deductible, and they will issue a statement at the end of the year. Giving in other ways are considered anonymous and are not tax deductible, and no statement will be mailed.
3Why does / doesn't my donation count toward your funding goal?
The AGUSM sets my budget (fundraising goal), collects, receipts and disperses my income to me. Before they allow me to begin my full time work on campus, they require that I have a support base of financial partners committed to helping me accomplish my work. Their way of knowing of your commitment is by having you declare your giving as a faith promise, indicating that your gift is part of your faith promise either monthly or yearly.

It has everything to do with Faith Promises*
  • Any gift that is received monthly and states that it is part of a faith promise does count toward my goal.
  • Any gift over $500 counts toward my fundraising goal if it states that it is part of a faith promise. Because they will disperse your donation on a monthly bases throughout the year
4What is a Faith Promise?
A Faith Promise is a great way to show missionaries you value them by giving again and again. The Missionary Faith Promise Form is a convenient way to make a commitment to your desired missionary or ministry. Once we obtain your form, an information packet and certificate will be mailed to you. The Missionary Faith Promise Form can be found at our Web site at usmissions.ag.org or give online at giving.ag.org.
You are in no way bound by a faith promise. It is simply a way to indicate that you are financially getting behind a missionary.
Church Donor Churches contribute a large portion of support to our missionaries. By checking the proper box on the form, your congregation can start giving to a U.S. Missions missionary or ministry immediately and receive world ministries giving credit. that you are financially getting behind a missionary.
INDIVIDUAL DONOR We encourage individuals to give to the cause of Christ in America. Please check the appropriate box on the form. If you are a first time donor, disregard the account number; one will be assigned to you on your first receipt.
